Clica is a digital marketing agency based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, specializing in performance marketing for e-commerce. With 20 people and 40 clients, they differentiate themselves through a proprietary methodology that includes fully understanding the client's business: margins, fixed costs, variable costs, and financial economic structure.
We spoke with Mathias Schusterman, Co-Founder of Clica, about how Detrics became a fundamental piece of their data-driven decision-making system. Previously, they used a US-based competitor that lacked Tienda Nube integration, forcing them to manually consolidate that information in Sheets. With Detrics, they have all information from 10 platforms consolidated and automatically updated every day, allowing them to focus on analysis and client management.
The Challenge: Consolidating Data from Multiple Platforms Without Tienda Nube Integration
Before Detrics, Clica used a US-based competitor to consolidate their clients’ data. However, there was a critical problem: they didn’t have integration with Tienda Nube, the most widely used e-commerce platform in Latin America.
This meant Clica’s team had to manually download Tienda Nube data and consolidate it in Excel—a tedious and error-prone process.
"We consolidated that information manually, meaning we went and downloaded it to a Sheets file. It was manual work we had to do. There were definitely errors, and it was somewhat tedious because you had to go download the information.
Additionally, the US competitor’s support wasn’t focused on the Latin American market, making it difficult to resolve issues or request new features.
The Solution: Data Consolidated Automatically Every Day
Detrics transformed Clica’s operations by fully automating data consolidation from all the platforms they use, including the Tienda Nube integration they desperately needed.
"For us, reporting is fundamental because we always make decisions based on data. We work with more than four or five different platforms, and consolidating all that information manually to make decisions is a very complex task. Detrics basically helped us build this system.
Now, all information is consolidated and automatically updated every day at 9 AM, without any manual work required.
Quick Integration of New Clients
One of the most valued features is how easy it is to add new clients to the reporting system. Thanks to templates and the export/import queries function, the onboarding process has been drastically reduced.
"I have a main file where I integrate new clients. There are basically reports that are already set up, and all I have to do is add that client. Integrating that information into the report basically takes me 3 minutes. The integration is really very easy.
Trust in Data for Decision Making
For an agency that bases all its decisions on data, information reliability is fundamental. Detrics provides that security.
"There's a level of trust you need to have in the data to make decisions. If I don't trust the data or it's entered manually, there's a level where I'm going to be insecure about that decision-making. Today I'm very confident because I understand how I'm calculating it, how I'm downloading it, what fields I'm taking into account.
Time Saved Gets Reinvested in Analysis and Management
The most significant impact of Detrics at Clica is freeing up time that can now be dedicated to higher-value tasks: data analysis and client management.
"The good thing is precisely that information availability is immediate or happens automatically. When that time is freed up, that energy is freed up, you have to see what you do with that energy. The time saved goes directly to analysis and client management.
Why They Chose Detrics
The decision to migrate to Detrics came from a team member’s recommendation. Mathias especially valued working with a local Argentine company, the cultural closeness, and the ability to request features and receive quick responses.
"I thought it was much better to work with local people, people who are developing this type of products locally. First, because there's cultural closeness, and second, because I want Argentinians to do well. Plus, the ability to talk with you and ask for a feature is something we didn't have with the previous competitor.
