We Are Blend is a digital marketing agency founded in 2025, headquartered in Barcelona. With just 4 people, they operate in two well-defined niches: the automotive industry in Spain (Volkswagen Group dealership network) and e-commerce in Argentina, managing approximately 15 ad accounts across both markets.
We spoke with Hipólito Pannunzio, Co-founder of Blend, about why they chose Detrics over Supermetrics from day one. The reasons were clear: superior support (response in minutes vs. tickets that take weeks) and Argentina-specific connectors like Tienda Nube and Mercado Libre. Hipólito shared how real-time reporting allowed them to expand services with clients like Tienda Ombú, moving from managing campaigns to making strategic business-level decisions, and how their philosophy of "few large accounts with maximum value" is sustained thanks to the automation Detrics provides.
Two Niches, Two Continents, One Tool
Blend is a young agency with a clear proposition: few large accounts and maximum value for each client. They operate in two well-defined niches: the automotive industry in Spain, working with the official Volkswagen Group dealership network, and e-commerce in Argentina.
With just one year under their belt and four people on the team, they manage approximately 15 ad accounts across both markets. Their philosophy is to dedicate considerable time to both performance strategy and reporting for each client.
"Blend's philosophy is to work with few accounts, but large ones, and give each the time it needs: both in performance strategy and reporting. The idea is that each client receives all the value possible. We don't look to scale by volume; we look for few large accounts and help them grow.
Reporting as a Service Pillar
For Blend, reporting isn’t an extra. It’s fundamental. Each client can have multiple reports: one client-facing and another for the team’s internal use.
"For us, reporting is fundamental. We come from a school where it was always an added value to the service, not an extra. We make all decisions based on reports. From the moment a client comes in, there's already a report involved: to analyze the client, their market, their purchase intent. And as we move forward, those reports keep multiplying.
Why They Chose Detrics Over Supermetrics
The Blend team knew Supermetrics from previous experiences. When they founded the agency, they made a conscious decision: start with Detrics from day one. The reasons were clear.
"Both tools have similar potential; I wouldn't say one is technically much better than the other. Where Detrics is far superior is in support. We have a problem and within ten minutes we're already talking to someone who solves it with us.
We got to the point of getting into a Sheet together to edit a macro. That's unthinkable with other tools: you open a ticket and weeks later you end up talking to a chatbot.
Beyond support, the specific integrations for the Argentine market were decisive.
"Detrics has the connections we need for the accounts we manage in Argentina. For e-commerce, integrating Tienda Nube and Mercado Libre is fundamental.
Google Sheets vs. Looker Studio: Each in Its Place
Blend uses both tools with clear criteria. Sheets for daily work and data manipulation; Looker Studio for client-facing reports.
"We build Looker reports with the client in mind: they look more polished and are easier to understand, so for presentations we always go with Looker over Sheets. We use Sheets more for internal work: tables that need editing or budget controls.
Scalability Without Adding Headcount
A key question for any agency: can they grow without hiring a data specialist? For Blend, the answer is yes.
"We can keep adding clients and maintain this reporting structure without a problem. We don't need to create a new role dedicated to data; that's already solved. That's exactly what tools like Detrics do for us: real-time data without spending hours building it.
Success Story: Tienda Ombú
A concrete example of the impact of real-time reporting is Tienda Ombú, a workwear brand in Argentina.
"Tienda Ombú is a workwear brand from here, from Argentina. Having a real-time report on how their campaigns were doing was something that really made an impact; we weren't used to that. We learned a lot, and not just from our campaigns: from the store's overall results, from pricing strategy, things that were way outside what we were working on.
As an agency, that gave us two things: the client was more satisfied and, above all, we expanded our services with that account. We started making strategic decisions at the business level. Without reporting, we couldn't have done that.
The Future: Alerts
Blend recognizes that automated alerts are a pending “must” in their operation: budget, market, and other automations they want to incorporate.
"We're not doing alerts yet, but we'd like to and we know it's a must: budget alerts, market alerts, that kind of automation.
